Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Date Night, Inc. operates the Date Night mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including name, email address, phone number, age, gender, preferences, photos, attendee details, prompts, hobbies, neighborhood, date posts, join requests, messages, reports, blocks, account deletion requests, and support requests.

If you use optional identity verification, Persona may process government ID information such as name, date of birth, ID number, expiration date, a selfie, and verification results as our service provider. Date Night stores verification status, not your government ID images.

We collect subscription status and purchase confirmation data from Apple. Apple processes payment details; Date Night subscriptions unlock digital app functionality only and Date Night does not collect or store payment card numbers or bank account information.

Optional safety contact information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to Date Night.

If you contact support from the app, the email draft may include user-initiated support diagnostics such as app version, iOS version, and device model so we can troubleshoot your request.

Location Data

You may provide a neighborhood or selected city. Date Night does not request device location, automatically check you in, continuously track your GPS location, display your live location, or share your location with other users.

In-app maps display venue locations for date posts, not user location pins, and every in-app venue map requires a fresh manual tap before venue pins appear. Date detail screens may show the selected venue name, address, plan details, and map reference as text so users can understand the plan without revealing any user's live location. Recent venue searches may be stored locally on your device. Venue searches may use Google Places, and venue map links may open Apple Maps.

How We Use Information

Attendee Detail Visibility and Photos

Your attendee details, date posts, selected photos, neighborhood, and verification status may be visible to eligible users inside the app. Messages are visible only to conversation participants. Reports are reviewed for safety and moderation.

Photos may be stored using cloud storage and delivered through public media URLs so they can load reliably in the app. Do not upload photos or attendee details you do not want other eligible users to see.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use third-party advertising identifiers.

We share information with service providers needed to operate the app, including Supabase for hosting, authentication, database, and storage; Persona for optional identity verification; Google Places for venue search; and Apple for App Store distribution, subscriptions, Sign in with Apple, and notifications.

We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to investigate safety or security issues, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal information within 30 days, except where limited retention is necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement. Safety reports and moderation records may be retained for up to three years.

Your Choices and Rights

You can update attendee details in the app, manage notification permissions in device settings and in-app settings, cancel subscriptions through Apple, block or report users, and delete your account from Me > gear icon > Account Management > Delete Account. You may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, or other applicable privacy rights by emailing us.

California and other U.S. state privacy laws may provide additional rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. Date Night does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards such as TLS, authenticated access controls, row-level database security, and limited internal access. No system is completely secure, so you should protect your account credentials and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children

Date Night is only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has created an account, we will delete the account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page with an updated date.
